For members who have completed their Advanced Responder training we can offer training and preparation towards the NPTC City & Guilds AORD09 Level 2 Assessments in Off-Road Driving, Trailers in the Workplace and Winching.
Training and preparation includes theory and practical sessions and plenty of opportunity to practice the skills that will be needed to pass the assessment. Vehicles with winches and suitable trailers are provided for those members who need to practice with these and they are also made available during the assessment sessions.
Final assessment is carried out by a professional external assessor and takes place over a weekend at one of our training areas and usually consists of a group of 8 trainees with experienced 4×4 Response Wales marshals also in attendance. The external assessment and accommodation costs are charged to the trainees and this is a very cost effective way for members to achieve the NPTC accreditation.
